Homework policy

Research studies indicate that "student achievement rises significantly when teachers regularly assign homework as an extension to the regular school day program and students conscientiously do it." Homework will be assigned Monday through Thursday each week. The homework assignment will be a review of some skills and subject content studied that day by students. In Kindergarten, homework should be limited to 30 minutes or less. In grades 1-5, homework should not take more than one hour to complete. Each teacher will be happy to provide you with helpful hints to make your home environment one in which the child can be successful for homework completion.
